the memories faded until they

felt as if they were wrapped

inside someone else’s sweater

a single memory remaining,

a stray thread on which to tug

unraveling everything and all

that remained was the thread

coiled upon itself, an ouroboros,

instead of leading to the secret cache

of treasured moments that
